Delivery

ALL DELIVERIES ARE MADE VIA TAIL-LIFT VEHICLES - WE DO NOT USE CRANES OR HI-ABS

Any NEXT DAY deliveries need to be placed before 12 O'Clock midday Monday to Thursday.  Next Day deliveries placed on a Friday before 12 O'Clock midday will be delivered the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays - then the delivery will be on the Tuesday).

The following check list is provided to ensure that your delivery is achieved safely and on time.

 

1. Have I given the correct Address, Postcode and Contact telephone number
2. Have I ensured the route to the property has suitable access for an 18 tonne tail-lift vehicle
3. Are there any obstacles such as low hanging trees that may interfere with the high sides of the vehicle?
4. Is the delivery address for the goods on a Solid Flat Level surface, ie -Concrete, tarmac or Block paving? Pallet trucks cannot operate on grass, mud, gravel, loose ground, up or down inclines or steps
5. Have I ensured that I or an individual will be available to sign for the goods? (If a signature is unavailable there must be a safe place to leave the goods, if not the goods may be returned for delivery at a later date.  Further charges per pallet may be incurred if this happens.
6. If you do have delivery restrictions simply contact us on 0330 088 5593 and we will make special arrangements to try and accommodate them.

Sandbag Company will not accept any liability for damages to property caused during delivery whereby the customer has instructed drivers or have made requests for goods to be placed anywhere other than on the kerbside.

The delivery vehicles must be able to park in an area where the delivery is to be made; they cannot park in any red zones or on restricted parking.

It is at the drivers discretion to deem the delivery unsuitable he is well within his rights to refuse to unload the pallet or alternatively unload it as near as possible to the required destination, which may well be at the side of the road. If a kerb side delivery has been made it is the customer’s responsibility to move the product from the place of delivery to the area of requirement.

Where a delivery cannot be made on the due date due to access issues we will attempt a re-delivery at your request for a minimum charge of £50 per pallet plus VAT.

Sandbag Company aim to deliver all goods within 72 hours of receipt of your order. Sandbag Company cannot be accountable for late deliveries as a result of factors outside of our control, such as increased traffic delays, weather and breakdowns.  Deliveries are made between 8.30 am and 6 pm weekdays and 8.00 am to 12:30 pm Saturday mornings (extra charge incurred)/

Sandbag Company offer a variety of Delivery Services, If you require your order delivering at a specific time, you can upgrade your delivery service at a small additional cost, and can usually stipulate a morning, afternoon or next day service.

Pricing

All prices quoted by Sandbag Company are only valid at the time of contract and are exclusive of any other matters unless otherwise agreed and may be changed at any time.

Sandbag Company reserves the right to revise the quoted price in the event of any unforeseen and extraordinary expenses. VAT All prices stated include VAT at the applicable rate. For orders made outside of the UK all orders will be charged including the applicable UK rate of VAT. Any UK VAT paid can then be claimed back through your home country.

Should an incorrect price be displayed, https://www.sandbagcompany.co.uk/  reserves the right to refuse orders.

Pro-Forma Invoices are valid for 30 days from the date stated on the invoice. And if cost prices change, that invoice may become void.

Supply of Products

The customer is fully aware of the conditions of sale for our goods. Sandbag Company cannot guarantee that the appearance and/or colours of products shown on this site exactly reproduce the appearance and/or colours of the products themselves. Natural products may show colour variations. All sizes quoted are approximate.

Contracts for the supply of goods or services to retail or domestic customers are governed by The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and supplied in compliance with, The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended by S1689 2005. Any customers contacting in the course of their business are excluded from consumer protection legislation and are contacting with the company on a business to business basis.

The company require any complaint to be made in writing by the customer within 14 days. If the customer is dissatisfied with the product then it must be returned to the company within a reasonable time after the complaint has been logged. A refund will then be made for the original purchase price. Should it be deemed that the product is satisfactory we reserve the right to charge for the cost of return. All prices quoted by Sandbag Company for the sale of any products are delivered with the exception of any additional zone costs as described on the delivery page.

Customers are required to pay by credit card/debit card at the time of ordering.

Prices quoted are all-inclusive & delivered unless otherwise stated.

All products (however delivered) shall be at the customers risk from the time of collection (if so collected) or from the time of delivery. After such time the company shall be under no liability for loss or damage or deterioration of the product from whatever cause arising.

Sizing

Most of our products have been mechanically screened through meshes of the size specified.  However, any screening process can only separate within two dimensions, meaning any screened products may consequently contain particles with one longer dimension than the sizing specified.

Please also be aware that some of the product photographs may appear to look larger or smaller than their actual size.  If you're unsure about a product in particular, please call us to discuss.

Ordering/Amendments

You are deemed to have placed an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process or via telephone ordering system. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors prior to confirming the order. Once completed, we will send you an order acknowledgement detailing the products you have ordered and the pricing to the e-mail address provided during the ordering process. The order is only accepted by https://www.sandbagcompany.co.uk/ upon dispatch of the ordered goods and confirmed via a dispatch confirmation e-mail even if your payment has been processed immediately. We will notify you by phone or e-mail if we cannot accept your order or if you cancel the order prior to dispatch.

We may refuse to accept an order:

1. Where goods are not available
2. Where we cannot obtain authorization for your payment
3. If there has been a pricing or description error
4. If you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions

Order amendments

Any order amendments must be made before goods are dispatched; dispatch may be up to three working days prior to delivery. A unique amendment reference will be returned with your amendment confirmation email; this will be needed in any further correspondence or dispute. We are unable to amend orders after dispatch.

Cancellation/Returns Policy

The customer has the right to cancel any order. However any cancellation must be made prior to dispatch, this means if the product is ordered before 12 o'clock midday this must be cancelled by 4pm on the same day. If ordered after 12 o'clock midday cancellation must be made before 4pm the following day.

Cancellations should be made by telephoning Tel 0330 088 5593 between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.

Customers may return the goods at their own expense to the aforementioned address within 7 working days from the day following the day of delivery, or we will collect the goods and charge you the cost of return which will be a minimum of £50.00 plus VAT per pallet plus any zonal charges.

Returned loads if cancelled en route will incur a return delivery charge of £50.00 plus VAT per pallet; this will be deducted from any refund due.

Where a delivery cannot made on the due date due to access issues or unforeseen circumstances we will attempt a re-delivery at your request for a charge of £50.00 plus VAT per pallet. If you have any queries relating to this or any other issue please call us on 0330 088 5593.
